Kasparas Spokas
Kasparas is a Director at Clean Air Task Force (CATF), a global organization that catalyzes strategies and solutions in the climate and energy sector based on scientific evidence, intellectual integrity, and pragmatism. In his role, Kasparas supports CATF’s overall strategy by proactively identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing new intelligence and integrating across CATF teams to launch new initiatives, projects, and thought leadership. In addition, Kasparas works on a variety of power system topics such as policy design, capacity expansion modeling, market design, system planning, and more.
Prior to joining CATF, Kasparas was an Associate at The Brattle Group working on energy infrastructure planning, capacity expansion modeling, market design, and transmission planning. His clients ranged from state and city agencies, to utilities, developers, and NGOs.
Kasparas received his Ph.D. at Princeton University, where he studied carbon capture and sequestration and energy policy. In addition, he was a Princeton Energy and Climate Scholar at the Princeton Environmental Institute, and a fellow in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
His personal interests focus on integrating techno-economic solutions with practical policy to promote the development of low-carbon energy systems that ultimately reduce energy sector greenhouse gas emissions.
